Tree News, 2021–present

Collaboration with Paper Buck

Tree News is a newsletter and programming platform focusing on tree and forest stories as entry points into discussions of ecological orientations in art practice, cultural relationships to the natural world, environmental justice, and climate change adaptation. Tree News profiles trees, people, places and projects to serve as a platform to share resources, build relationships, highlight community projects, and develop deeper understandings of the world around us.

Tree News was first launched in April 2021 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The publication is a collaborative project produced with a rotating host of contributing artists, scholars, scientists, writers, and land workers. We have organized educational workshops, foraging walks, film screenings, with more issues and events on the horizon. Explore recent issues.
